The Sudanese transitional military council will issue a decision to reject the establishment of a Turkish military base on Suakin Island, Al Ain newspaper reported on Saturday.

The ousted Sudanese President Omar al-Bashir signed an agreement with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, in Khartoum last year, to hand over the administration of the Sudanese island in the Red Sea to Ankara for investment.

Dr. Hani Raslan, head of the Sudan and Nile Basin Studies, said that the excepted decision of the council will be a practical translation of detaching Sudan from backing the axis of Qatar-Turkey- Muslim Brotherhood organization.

He reiterated that such a step is in favor of the interest of Sudan and the Arab World."Egyptian parliamentarian Mostafa Bakry said that the council's decision confirms that new administration of Sudan will not accept to transfer its territory to any party.
