Sudan's Foreign Minister (FM) Ali Al-Sadiq and Iran's First Vice President Mohammad Mokhber discussed the relations between the two countries and ways to enhance and strengthen bilateral, regional and international cooperation and coordination, and the opening of embassies between the two countries.
In a statement, Sudanese Ministry of Foreign Affairs said on Saturday that the meeting between the Sudanese Foreign Minister and the Iranian official took place on the sidelines of the Non-Aligned Movement summit, which is being held in Kampala, the capital of Uganda.
The ministry added that Al-Sadiq briefed the Iranian official on the developments in the situation in Sudan and the efforts being made by the government to restore security and stability.
The Sudanese minister also discussed with the First Vice President of the Islamic Republic of Iran, ways to restore bilateral relations between the two countries and accelerate the steps to reopen embassies between them.
