On Wednesday, the US embassy in Sudan announced six people were killed in Bahri and 22 others in Omdurman, north and west neighborhoods of Khartoum, the capital city of Sudan.
The US embassy said in a statement on its Facebook account that the regions of Bahri and Omdurman witnessed the killing of at least 28 people, including a family of four, in the bloodiest attack in the fighting in Sudan so far.
The statement called on the Sudanese Armed Forces (SAF) and the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) to fulfill their obligation to protect civilians and take all precautions to avoid harm to civilians.
The US embassy noted that "indiscriminate acts of violence increase the suffering of the Sudanese people already."
The embassy affirmed that a military "victory" for either of the two warring parties in the Sudanese conflict would result in unacceptable human losses and damage to the country.
