Struan Stevenson: "The Provisional Government led by Maryam Rajavi is the only guarantee to end decades of Mullah tyranny and avoid chaos"

Struan Stevenson, author and former Member of the European Parliament, stated that the death of the tyrant Ali Khamenei has created a fatal and irreparable crack in the power structure of the Velayat-e Faqih regime. He emphasized that the survival of this regime is no longer possible under any circumstances and that the time has come to end 47 years of tyranny and bloodshed.

Stevenson said: "The death of the executioner Khamenei and top leaders of the Revolutionary Guards has not only deprived the regime of its core cadres but has completely shattered the myth of invincibility it once hid behind. Since 1979, the Mullahs' regime has relied on the repressive pillar of the 'Supreme Leader.' With the fall of this head and the collapse of the leadership pillars, the barrier of fear has been completely broken, and the stage is set for the final collapse."

He added: "The Iranian Resistance, under the leadership of Mrs. Maryam Rajavi, has proven to be the ready and organized democratic alternative to fill the political vacuum and ensure a peaceful transition that spares the country from sliding into chaos. The 10-point plan presented by Mrs. Rajavi represents a practical roadmap for establishing a democratic republic based on universal suffrage, full gender equality, the separation of religion and state, and the establishment of a non-nuclear Iran."

Stevenson continued: "The legitimacy of the Provisional Government announced by the Iranian Resistance is derived exclusively from the will of the people. It is an administration committed to a specific timeframe for its tasks, which includes dismantling the apparatus of repression, releasing political prisoners, and preparing for free national elections. In the Iran of tomorrow that we seek, there is no place for inherited or religious dictatorship; the fundamental principle is the rejection of both dictatorships (the Shah and the Mullah) and a steadfast commitment to the sovereignty of the people."

He explained: "The massive field response we have witnessed through the 'Resistance Units'—who executed a series of lightning operations, including 30 targeted strikes against centers of repression in more than 20 Iranian cities—is the best evidence of the revolutionary forces' readiness to impose the people's will in conjunction with the accelerating political developments toward democratic change."

Stevenson emphasized: "The West must immediately end the failed policy of appeasement toward Tehran. Supporting a peaceful transition in Iran does not require military intervention; rather, it requires clear political recognition of the democratic alternative and standing categorically with the Iranian people, not with their executioners who are now drawing their last breaths."

Stevenson concluded: "We are living through decisive weeks in Iran's history. With increasing defections in the security forces and the 'Resistance Units' continuing to shake the regime's strongholds, Iran's bright future is very near—a future that will not be written in blood, but in transitional justice and legal accountability that will dismantle the machine of repression forever."
