Strong storms and tornadoes hit the US state of Oklahoma on Monday leaving at least 6 people injured and causing power outage to about 86,000 homes and businesses, according to Al Qahera News channel.
The strong storms that struck Oklahoma City, the state capital, led to cars sliding and destroying the roofs of buildings.
Hurricane warnings were also issued to residents of areas extending toward the Arkansas border, according to what was reported by the American Associated Press.
Television footage showed power lines falling to the ground, damaged house walls, overturned vehicles, and streets filled with debris.
At least six people were taken to hospitals with non-life-threatening injuries, Oklahoma Police Chief Valerie Littlejohn said.
