In conjunction with the Egyptian government announcement of a partial curfew to stem the spread of the novel coronavirus, several effective youth initiatives launched to mitigate the economic fallout from the crisis.
Among them is the initiative of a group of e-commerce pioneers, including Manal Najm El Din, Amr Dawoud, and Mohamed Hossam Khadr, who created a website entitled "Stay Home Egypt", to help business owners to continue to provide their services through online sales.
The site is a guide that connects a large number of companies and provides their services and products online and have it home delivered.
It has been designed in a simple way that allows the consumer to easily view its contents and purchase online.
The founders of the initiative announced that the site aims to help business owners in facing difficult circumstances and challenges in the present time.
It also collects the largest number of services and products in one platform that can be easily purchased by consumers while at home.
"We started publishing about the owners of the various companies and the services they provide to encourage people to buy with the usual same equal force so that the national economy would not be affected by the stagnation of the buying and selling movement.” explained Manal Najmuddin, founder and CEO of “E-Business School” and lecturer at the European University.
She also invited all business owners, who can provide their services electronically and have it home delivered, to subscribe to the site and add their services for free.
Amr Dawood, a pioneer and business developer, also confirmed that the site is currently available for public access and to make purchases.
“An application of our project is currently being developed with the identical design of the site as well as a chatbot to make research within it easy.” added, Mohamed Hossam Khadr, business and investment consultant and the author of "Entrepreneur: Inside Out".
