Egypt's State Council appointed several working women in the administrative prosecution authority and State Lawsuits Authority to join the State Council as judges on Sunday.
Chancellor Mohamed Hossam El Din, the head of State Council, revealed that he coordinated the process of appointing a number of working female members to the State Council with the heads of the concerned authorities to facilitate such a mission.
He added that the Council issued the list of requirements for women who want to join as judges, asserting that the authority welcomes them among the team.
Hossam El Din revealed that once President Abdel Fattah El Sisi released his permission for appointments, the newly joined women can start their jobs at the Judiciary department.
He expressed that female judges will cooperate with the other team members to enhance the performance of the authority.
In the same context, Chancellor Taha Abdou Karsou, the Secretary-General of the Council, welcomed women in the authority.
In addition, he asserted that facilities would be taken for making the process of submission requests easier.
The decision came after President Sisi issued orders for opening the door to women to join higher judiciary authorities, in particular, State Council and State Lawsuits Authority on the occasion of International Women's Day.
