Russian embassy in South Sudan and Uganda announced that South Sudanese President Salva Kiir will visit Moscow on September 27 and 28.
“We can confirm plans for the visit of South Sudanese President Salva Kiir to Russia on September 27 and 28," Russian embassy said on Thursday, according to Russian TASS news agency.
South Sudan President had previously expressed his country's desire to join the BRICS group (Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa).
According to him, South Sudan will seek to move forward with this partnership, in order to help develop agricultural production in the country, which will enhance its industrial development in the long term.
