Many reports indicated a few hours ago that the Russian Sputnik V vaccine can provide 92% protection against the COVID-19, according to the results of the latest stage of clinical trials.

Moreover, the safety of the vaccine was approved and it offered complete protection against hospitalization.

Medically, the Sputnik vaccine follows the same methodology as the Oxford/AstraZeneca vaccine.

It depends on injecting the body with a cold-type virus modified to be harmless. It carries a small amount of the COVID-19 genetic code to be injected into the body. So, the body becomes more alerted to fight the virus and to produce antibodies against it.

The vaccine needs to be restored at temperatures of between 2 and 8C degrees so it is easier to transport and store.

On the other hand, the second dose is slightly different from the first one and it is given 21 after the first one.

The expected side effects of the vaccine are almost mild such as sore arm, a bit of a temperature, and tiredness.

Furthermore, no deaths or serious illnesses were reported during the clinical trials.
