Special Task Force Addresses Greek Coast Shipwreck Aftermath

In response to the shipwreck of an illegal immigration vessel off the Greek coast on Wednesday, June 14, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, in coordination with the Egyptian embassy in Athens, is liaising with the relevant Greek authorities. The collaboration aims to ascertain the condition of survivors, gather information about the missing individuals, and identify those among the victims who were rescued from the disaster.

Further to this, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs has constituted a special task force to handle the aftermath of this tragic incident. The group's duties include assisting the victims' and missing persons' families by providing guidance on procedures to identify the bodies of the victims. The guidance will be provided at the Consular Affairs Office for citizens, foreigners, and authentications, located at:
