A major wildfire has scorched more than 330 hectares of forest in Spain's northwestern Galicia region, forcing the evacuation of hundreds of residents as firefighters battle to contain the blaze.
The fire, which erupted on Friday in the area of Herbón in A Coruña province, has spread rapidly due to strong winds and harsh weather conditions, prompting authorities to close several roads and establish safety zones.
Large firefighting teams, supported by ground vehicles, aircraft, and helicopters, are working around the clock to prevent the flames from reaching additional residential areas.
Despite extensive environmental damage, Spanish authorities said no injuries have been reported among residents or emergency responders.
Officials have urged people in affected parts of Galicia to follow evacuation orders and avoid disaster zones, while investigations into the cause of the wildfire remain ongoing.
