Margarita Robles, Defence minister said that Spanish authorities would provide Ukraine a batch of offensive weapons, and more than thousand grenade launchers and machine guns.
“In this first shipment that will go aboard two planes, we expect to send 1,370 anti-tank grenade launchers, 700,000 rifle and machine-gun rounds, and light machine guns," The minister said in an interview with Antena 3 television.
She explained that these materials would be send to a location in Poland close to the border, where Ukrainian officials would take up.
On Wednesday, Prime Minister of Spain Pedro Sanchez said that Spain would send offensive military materials to Ukraine.
United We Can “Unidas Podemos” showed disapproval on the Prime Minister’s decision and described it as wrong.
