More European countries have suspended using the "AstraZeneca" COVID-19 vaccine, including Spain, Germany, France and Italy announced such a decision, CNN reported on Tuesday.

Spain suspended using the vaccine for at least two weeks, according to the Spanish Health Minister Carolina Darias. She added that the country is waiting for the final European Medicines Agency (EMA) reports over blood clots reports.

On the other hand, Germany took the same directions as the country would pause using the vaccines after the reports from Denmark and Norway regarding a possible relationship between blood clotting and AstraZeneca.

France and Italy issued, temporarily, the same decision until the (EMA) finalizes its vaccine studies. The French President Emmanuel Macron said: "We have decided to suspend the use of AstraZeneca as a precautionary measure and are hoping to resume it quickly if the EMA's advice allows it."

A few days ago, Netherlands, Austria, and Ireland announced halting AstraZeneca jabs. UK is still one of the few countries that back the vaccine.
