The authorities in Spain have declared a state of emergency and orange alert due to the rains and Hurricane Boris, due to the impact of the low pressure center that will leave a state of instability especially in the east of the peninsula and the Balearic Islands, according to the forecasts of the state meteorological agency, the agency (Emet).
It also warned of the possibility of flash floods in the channels that are usually dry or low in water and floods.
The flooding of the railway line in Villarreal de Huerva, due to the rains, led to the interruption of railway traffic on the Zaragoza-Teruel-Valencia line, and according to Renfe, this reduction affected three medium-distance convoys, those corresponding to the Zaragoza-Teruel-Valencia route and vice versa, and the direct Zaragoza-Teruel train.
Renfe has provided buses to transport passengers between the stations of Cariñena (Zaragoza) and Caminreal (Teruel) for the Zaragoza-Valencia lines, while the Zaragoza-Teruel service is provided directly by buses.
The Balearic Islands are under an orange storm warning, with possible accumulations of up to 50 litres per square metre per hour, which may be accompanied by storms and very strong winds of between 70 and 120 kilometres per hour.
