SpaceX, the American aerospace manufacturer, successfully launched 27 new Starlink satellites into orbit today.
The launch took place at Vandenberg Air Force Base in California, utilizing a Falcon 9 rocket to deploy the satellites into low Earth orbit.
According to a statement from SpaceX, the Falcon 9 rocket’s first stage successfully returned to Earth after about eight minutes, landing on a SpaceX drone ship stationed in the Pacific Ocean.
This achievement highlights the company’s continued success in reusable rocket technology.
The Starlink network, which is the largest satellite constellation ever assembled, now boasts nearly 7,100 active satellites in space.
This growing constellation is part of SpaceX's mission to provide global internet coverage, particularly in underserved areas.
The expansion of Starlink plays a key role in improving internet connectivity worldwide, supporting both residential users and businesses in remote locations, and paving the way for future space-based internet services.
