On Saturday, the new crew, that will replace the stranded astronauts in the International Space Station, arrived at the ISS and their capsule docked to the station.
Butch Wilmore and Suni Williams are now getting ready to come home after spending more than 9 months in space.
The astronauts are due to begin their journey back to Earth later this week, according to NASA's commercial crew program manager Steve Stich.
"Butch and Suni have done a great job and we are excited to bring them back," he said.
There will be a two-day handover after which the old crew are due to begin their journey back to Earth.
Another one or two-day delay could take place due to weather conditions and safety preparations for the re-entry of the returning capsule.
"Weather always has to cooperate, so we'll take our time over that if it is not favourable," NASA official told reporters.
