Sources added that Egypt has set a final timetable for reaching a binding agreement with Ethiopia on the GERD.
Cairo and Khartoum are calling on Ethiopia not to proceed with the second filling of the GERD before the resumption of negotiations, the sources noted.
It is worth mentioning, Sisi commented on Grand Ethiopian Renaissance Dam (GERD) crisis.
In a press conference held at Suez Canal on Tuesday, Sisi said,” Negotiations on GERD is our choice from the beginning,” adding, “the hostile action is extremely heinous, and has negative repercussions that could extend for years.”
He also added that ‘No one can take a drop of water from Egypt, affirming that ‘if this happened, Egypt’s reaction would have a negative impact on the stability of the entire region.’
“We hope to reach a legal, binding agreement on GERD,” Sisi continued.
