The former founders of Soundcloud have launched an e-bike subscription service, backed by European investors. According to Tech Crunch, the subscription service will start in Berlin, with an all-inclusive package of a €59-a-month ‘introductory price’ and its own design of e-bike.
Users of Dance will download the app and register. Within 24 hours the fully assembled e-bike will be delivered within 24 hours, and if the bike needs maintenance or is stolen, the user alerts Dance and the bike is replaced immediately.

Dance plans to go international once it has refined its bike design, smartphone app and operating model.
On other hand, the main institutional backer is venture capital firm Blueyard Capital, as well as investors such as Ilkka Paananen, the founder and boss of Supercell.
Noteworthy, E-bike sales are booming, especially in Europe, while more than 30% of bikes sold last year in Germany were electric. Cities across Europe have built 930 km of bicycle lanes since March, according to the European Cyclists’ Federation.
Later, SoundCloud’s evolution from a streaming service to a suite of distribution and related tools for artists continued. The company now has a Mastering on SoundCloud service, powered by Dolby.

“As the last step of your upload flow, you can make any track release-ready in minutes for one low cost per master,” promises SoundCloud. “Pick from a custom suite of mastering styles that sculpt your song’s tonal balance and dynamic range while preserving its original intent.”
According to musically.com, the new tool costs $4.99 per track, although artists subscribing to Sound's Pro Unlimited tier will get three masters a month for free, and a discounted price of $3.99 for extra tracks.
The news puts SoundCloud into competition with Landr, which pioneered the category of automated mastering back in 2014.
Landr and SoundCloud have both expanded into distribution too, Landr in 2017 when it launched a combined mastering and distribution service, and SoundCloud in 2019 via a partnership with Fuga, which it built on in 2020 with its Repost by SoundCloud marketing and distribution engine.
