The Somali Minister of Commerce and Industry, Jamal Mohamed Hassan, held talks with Claver Gatete, the UN Secretary-General’s Special Envoy to Africa and Executive Secretary of the United Nations Economic Commission for Africa (UNECA), to enhance cooperation in trade, investment development, and supporting the growth of the Somali economy.
According to the Somali National News Agency (SONNA), the meeting took place in Addis Ababa.
During the discussions, the Somali Minister emphasized the importance of accelerating technical and investment support aimed at boosting local production, facilitating trade movement, and developing the country’s industrial sector.
