The Norwegian Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, the English coach of Manchester United, shocked the fans of the Red Devils before the German Leipzig match.

Solskjaer revealed that his Uruguayan striker Edinson Cavani was injured during the match against West Ham on Saturday in the 11th round of the English Premier League, which the Red Devils won 3-1.

Solskjaer said in statements to "Sky Sports" British: "It is unfortunate that sometimes you suffer from muscle injuries, and Cavani was forced to leave the match due to the injury."

He added: "I do not know if he has a chance to join Leipzig match, and I hope that this injury will not be bad for him because we need him."

It is noteworthy that Cavani moved to United last summer from Paris Saint-Germain for free, and was able to score 3 goals in 10 matches he played in various competitions.

Manchester United will play a fateful match against its host Leipzig next Tuesday evening in the final round of the group stage of the Champions League.

United are in danger of leaving the European championship, as they are second in Group H with 9 points, on goal difference from Leipzig and Paris Saint-Germain, the French leaders.
