Sources of the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (SOHR) reported that a new batch of Syrian fighters loyal to Turkey has returned to Syria, after the end of their contracts in Libya.

These Syrians were turned by Turkey into mercenaries and forced into the Libyan military operations to serve its regional interests.

The batch that returned during the past week consisted of about 550 mercenaries.

Meanwhile, SOHR received information about disputes between the Syrian fighters in Libya, due to the fact that they did not receive their monthly dues from the leaders of some groups.

According to SOHR, the number of conscripts who went to Libya lands reached about 18000 mercenaries so far. They are of Syrian nationality, including 350 children under the age of 18.

About 9,850 of the mercenaries of the pro-Turkish factions returned to Syria after the end of their contracts and took their financial dues from Turkey.

The number of jihadists who arrived in Libya reached “10,000”, of whom 2,500 were Tunisian citizens.

SOHR indicated at the beginning of this month that a new batch of mercenaries, consisting of 800 fighters, returned to Syria after the end of their contracts in Libya. The number of returnees in less than a week reached more than 2,200 fighters who were earlier transferred by the Turkish government to Libya.
