Almost all of us have been in a situation where we’re walking around town and we spot someone who looks exactly like a friend of ours or even us.

It’s a very strange feeling to realize that we’re not alone. That there’s at least one person out there who is our doppelganger.

Abd-El-Rahim Mohamed Bawazier, an ambulance driver in southern Yemen, is frequently mistaken for the Egyptian winger Mohamed Salah on social media given him high cheekbones, long curly hair and strong eyebrow game.

The 25-year-old from Elmkla, Hadhramaut has received countless comments from his friends on Facebook drawing similarities between him and the Egyptian superstar.

Moreover, Bawazeir has regularly been seen on social media platforms posing in both the Egyptian national and Liverpool shirts bearing Salah's name. In photos of him roaming the streets of Hadhramaut governorate, plenty of Yemenis believe they are meeting the man himself, and with good reason.

Speaking to Elwatan News, the lookalike said: "I get stopped in the street nearly every time I go out. I have people wanting their photo taken with me. I've even had some believing I was him. I love it and will never get fed up with it."

It's worth mentioning that Bawazier has grown a near identical beard to Salah, and having now shot to stardom, the Yemenian is said to be fully booked up with media interviews.

He told Elwatan: "Now Yemenis really see me as the Yemeni Salah and want me to emulate him and mimic everything he does. When I show up somewhere, people are really shocked.

"I love it when they say I look like him. Mo Salah is a big inspiration to me and so many other men around the Arab world. He 's wonderful !"
