Minister of Youth and Sports Dr. Ashraf Sobhy inaugurated Egypt's International Car Racing Championship at New Alamein City.
The tournament consists various car competitions including (drifting, speed, tandem drifting challenge, 4×4 challenge and rally challenge).
After the end of the race, Sobhy said that Egypt keens organizing several sports events, and he praised the organization of the event.
He added that the ministry is interested in organizing several sports events and competitions nationwide as part of a strategy to spread the culture of sports practice and make it a lifestyle.
Sobhi shed light on the key role played by sporting events in promoting new national projects carried out by the State under President Abdel Fattah El Sisi, as the participants can observe the ongoing development process on the ground.
On their side, the participants expressed their pleasure and amazement for the impressive facilities in New Alamin city, and they expected that the city will be a marvelous destination due to the breathtaking landscapes.
It is expected that the second edition of the race will take place in Al Galala, and the third in the New Administrative Capital.
