Heavy snowfall and widespread weather warnings continue to affect large parts of the United Kingdom, with travel disruption expected to persist through Sunday and into Monday, according to British media reports.

Yellow weather warnings for snow and ice remain in force across several regions, while northern Scotland braces for further travel difficulties. Additional snow showers are forecast to cause delays on roads and public transport networks throughout the day and into the start of the new week.

Although the more severe amber weather warnings for northern Scotland were lifted on Saturday afternoon, the yellow alert in the region is set to remain active until midday on Monday. Authorities have warned that icy conditions and reduced visibility could still pose risks to motorists and travellers.

Separate yellow warnings for snow and ice have also been issued for Wales, Greater Manchester, and south-west England. Meanwhile, a yellow ice warning covers large sections of England’s east coast, raising concerns about hazardous driving conditions and potential transport delays.

Weather services have urged the public to take extra care, plan journeys in advance and stay updated on local forecasts as winter conditions continue to impact daily life across the UK.
