Smouha's chairman Farag Amer has announced on Tuesday that he filed a complaint against Zamalek to the Egyptian Football Association (EFA).

Zamalek reached the Egypt Cup quarter-final after snatching a hard-fought 2-1 victory over Smouha on Monday.

On his official Facebook page, Amer said that this complaint is submitted after the White Knights' midfielder Imam Ashour participated in the game despite being suspended by the EFA after what happened in Al Masry and Zamalek match.

"Smouha complained to the EFA to object on the participating of Imam Ashour, who was suspended for a match by the EFA," Amer said.

He also said that Smouha would not leave its rights in what happened during the match.

It is worth mentioning that the EFA has not imposed any sanctions on the White Knights' players; Ferjani Sassi and Imam Ashour yet.
