Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico’s condition is improving after an assassination attempt last week.
The hospital that treats Fico said: “After today’s consultation, the patient’s condition is stabilized.”
“Clinically improving, communicating, inflammatory parameters are slowly decreasing," the medical entity said.
It highlighted that Fico remains hospitalized in the clinic.
Earlier, the clinic said that Fico was no longer in life threating condition after he was shot in the abdomen while greeting supporters on Wednesday outside a cultural center in the town of Handlova.
After the incident, he immediately underwent a five-hour surgery to treat the wounds. After that, he had another two-hour surgery, on Friday, to remove dead tissue from his gunshot wounds.
