S.Korean PM Embarks on Tour to Promote Busan's Bid for 2030 World Expo

South Korean Prime Minister (PM) Han Duck-soo left South Korea on Sunday for a foreign tour that will include France, Denmark, Croatia, and Greece. 

The tour is aimed at promoting South Korea's bid to host the 2030 World Expo in Busan.

The tour comes just 50 days before the vote to select the host city. The vote is scheduled to take place at the General Assembly of the Bureau International des Expositions, which is scheduled to be held in Paris on November 28. Busan is competing against Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, and Rome, Italy.

S.Korean PM will attend "Busan World Expo 2030 Forum" on October 9 (Paris time) in Paris.

On the same day, he will meet with French Prime Minister (PM) Elisabeth Borne.

On October 10 and 11, Han will visit Denmark on the first official visit by a South Korean Prime Minister in 10 years. During the visit, he will meet with Danish Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen.

On October 11, Han will visit Croatia and hold talks with Croatian Prime Minister Andrej Plenković.

From October 12 to 14, he will visit Greece and meet with Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis. This will be the first time a South Korean Prime Minister has visited Greece in 6 years.
