South Korean President Yoon Seok-yeol and European Union leaders agreed on Monday to strengthen cooperation on climate, health and digital issues.
This came during President Yoon's meeting with President of European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, an President of European Council, Charles Michel, at the Korean Presidential Office, on the occasion of the 60th anniversary of the establishment of bilateral diplomatic relations.
A joint statement issued after the summit stated that the three leaders agreed to launch Green Partnership between South Korea and European Union (EU) to enhance cooperation in the areas of climate change, environmental protection and green transformation.
Under the agreement, they also agreed to jointly help other countries build their capacities to prevent, detect and respond to health threats.
