Six Palestinians, including a girl, were killed and four others wounded when Israeli warplanes bombed Khan Younis in the southern Gaza Strip.
According to the Palestinian News Agency (WAFA), Israeli military vehicles launched heavy artillery shelling and gunfire toward the eastern areas of the Gaza Strip, continuing to target open areas, residential outskirts, and shelters. Israeli gunboats also intensified their gunfire off the coast of Khan Younis, causing concern among fishermen and displaced people, though no immediate reports of casualties were available.
Israeli warplanes also fired on the eastern areas of al-Bureij refugee camp in the central Gaza Strip.
With the deaths of these six Palestinians, the total number of Palestinians killed since the ceasefire on October 11 has risen to 698, while the number of injuries has exceeded 18,100, in addition to the recovery of 756 bodies.
Israeli forces also arrested a Palestinian man from Tulkarm, along with several workers from the Gaza Strip, early Sunday morning.
Local sources reported that the occupation forces arrested Ahmed Hassan Matrouk (54 years old), after raiding his house on Nablus Street, east of the city.
