President Abdel Fattah El Sisi sent Saturday a cable of congratulations to President of the State of Palestine, Mahmoud Abbas on the occasion of Eid Al-Fitr, wishing all Palestinians progress and prosperity.
In his telegram, Sisi expressed his wishes of good health and happiness to Abbas, the two brotherly peoples and all Arab and Islamic peoples for further progress and prosperity.
On the domestic level, Sisi requested concerned authorities to prepare a list of ‘imprisoned debtors’ in preparation for releasing a batch of them within the framework of the presidential initiative “Egypt Without Debtors.”
During a meeting with Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly, and Minister of Social Solidarity, Nevin El-Kabbaj, Sisi followed up on the efforts of the National Committee to reduce the phenomenon of debtors within the framework of the presidential initiative “Egypt without debtors”.
Sisi called for preparing a list of actually imprisoned debtors and to study their cases in preparation for the release of a batch of them ahead of the blessed Eid Al-Fitr, according to Presidency Spokesperson Bassam Rady.
The president also directed the officials to strengthen the work of the National Committee to formulate an integrated vision to eliminate the phenomenon of fines, as well as to set rules and procedures for the governance of dealing with the situations of debtors through proactive interventions.
