Sisi Visits Gamal Abdel Nasser University in Guinea

President Abdel Fattah El Sisi visited Gamal Abdel Nasser University in Conakry, in the company of Guinea’s President Alpha Condé, according to Presidential Spokesperson Bassam Rady.

Sisi kicked off an overseas tour with the first leg in Guinea before heading to the United States, Cote d’Ivoire and Senegal, Rady added on Sunday.

“President Sisi visited Gamal Abdel Nasser University in Conakry in the company of President Alpha Condé,” the spokesperson noted.

He noted that the two leaders witnessed curtains’ unveiling of a statue of the late President Nasser in the university’s campus and the new university building named after President Abdel Fattah El Sisi.

Rady revealed that the tour to the western African region comes as part of Egypt's keenness on intensifying contacts with African brothers in all domains, especially trade and economic ones.

Sisi will hold talks with leaders of the three African countries on boosting bilateral relations and pushing forward development process in the African continent.

Sisi-Trump Sixth Summit

The Egyptian president’s visit to Washington comes at the invitation of US President Donald Trump as part of efforts to enhance partnership between the two countries and maintain consultations on a number of regional issues.

Sisi-Trump summit will be the second official visit, but the sixth meeting between the two leaders.

Earlier, Rady told SEE in exclusive remarks that Sisi's trip to the US will took place between April 8 and 10."

The three-day visit to Washington aims at tackling developments of regional and strategic issues," Rady noted.
