President Abdel Fattah El Sisi received a phone call on Sunday from Sudan's Chairman of the Transitional Sovereign Council Lieutenant General Abdel Fattah Al-Burhan, according to Presidency Spokesperson Bassam Rady.
"Lt. Gen. Al-Burhan expressed his sincere condolences and sympathy for the victims of the Sohag two-train collision," said Rady.
He affirmed the solidarity of the government and people of Sudan with Egypt in this painful time and prayed to Allah Almighty to bestow His mercy upon the victims and grant their families patience and solace.
For his part, Sisi thanked his brother, Lt. Gen. Al-Burhan, for his keenness to offer condolences to the victims of the accident, stressing the special and strong relations between the two countries and peoples.
