President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi received, on Sunday, at Alamein Airport, UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
Mohamed El-Shennawy, Official Presidential spokesperson stated that Sisi welcomed the UAE President, who is visiting his second home, Egypt, as a cherished guest on a brotherly visit.
During their meeting, President Sisi emphasized the special status that Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed and the sisterly UAE hold with Egypt and its people, reflecting the strength and depth of the historic, multifaceted relations between the two countries and their brotherly peoples.
For his part, Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan expressed his deep gratitude and appreciation to the President for the warm welcome, reaffirming the strong brotherly and historical bonds that unite the leaderships and peoples of both nations.
The spokesperson added that the two Presidents discussed the overall bilateral relations, as well as developments in regional and international issues of mutual interest.
Particular focus was placed on the latest developments in the Middle East and the ongoing efforts to avoid further escalation.
In this context, both leaders emphasized the necessity of continued consultation, coordination, and joint action regarding various issues in light of the current challenges facing the region.
