President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi received on Thursday a phone call from US President Donald Trump to discuss latest regional developments, according to the Presidential spokesman Bassam Radi.
During their talks, the two presidents exchanged views regarding the latest developments in the region; they discussed other issues of common concern.
Issues related to bilateral cooperation between Egypt and the United States were also discussed.
On his part, Trump praised the value of the fruitful partnership and constructive cooperation between the two countries, stressing the vitality of mutual understanding in enhancing security and stability in the region.
Sisi expressed his gratitude for the efforts made by Trump in strengthening friendly relations between the two countries, expressing his aspiration for the people of the United States.
He affirmed Egypt's willingness to enhance the strategic partnership with the US to serve the interests of the two nations on the basis of common interests and mutual respect.
