President Abdel Fattah El Sisi sent a host of important messages during the 32nd Intellectual Seminar for the armed forces, which was held today, Sunday, as part of Egypt's celebrations of the glorious victories of the October War in 1973.
Sisi said that direct wars were used in the past to bring down the state, defeat it and obstruct its progress, adding that “Now there are new generations of wars that deal with our issues and challenges… They seek to convert public opinion into a tool to destroy the state.”
Sisi stressed that "Egypt cannot be eliminated by war from abroad."
He pointed out that the destruction and harm of the state cannot be accepted as a solution, adding: “This is what I said… Awareness is important to the size of the challenges inside the Egyptian state.”
“People have hopes and dreams.. and the state may be unable to achieve them all.”
President Sisi warned Egyptians of the plots being hatched against them and their country, its security and stability from the inside and outside.
The president said that the year 1967 witnessed a severe defeat, but the people stood firm for their cause and succeeded with blood and steadfastness.
"We will not reconcile with those who wanted to demolish our country," he stressed.
He noted that preserving the state and its stability is the most important issue in Egypt, stressing that "there is an attempt to undermine your continued steadfastness... the solidity and stability of the state with the awareness of its people is the true awareness ... and you cannot be deluded."
Sisi also confirmed that some are trying to negatively exploit the situation inside Egypt.
The president advised the government and the people, saying that “We have to continue to work, rest, sleep and work… We prefer to work and work and work until we look ahead.”
