President Abdel Fattah El Sisi thanked Saturday the United Arab Emirates (UAE) for sending a shipment of the Chinese Coronavirus Vaccine.
The statements were given during his visit to the Military Academy at dawn today, Saturday.
“Sisi paid an inspection visit at dawn today to the headquarters of the Military Academy,” said Presidency Spokesperson Bassam Rady.
Lieutenant General Mohamed Zaki, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Minister of Defense and Military Production, and Lieutenant General Mohamed Farid, Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces took part in the inspection tour.
Rady added that the visit came within the framework of the president’s keenness to follow up the training and rehabilitation programs for students of the Military Academy.
He inspected the various stages of physical preparation and skills for the academy’s students, including horse riding training.
“Sisi also participated in some morning activities, and had breakfast with the Military Academy’s students,” the spokesman said.
The Egyptian president delivered a speech during the visit and congratulated the new students on their success in joining the Military Academy, stressing his keen follow-up of all procedures and tests to join the academy, and his keenness to communicate closely with the new students at the beginning of their academic career.
Moreover, Sisi praised the high capabilities and competence of the students, calling on them to continue this approach to maintain their fitness and their high physical and mental readiness and to show the high and noble military values.
The Spokesman noted that an open dialogue took place between Sisi and the new students, as the president referred to the outcomes of the recent state visit to France and the mutual understanding and coordination it reflected in order to achieve stability in the region.
Sisi also tackled efforts to strengthen bilateral cooperation between Cairo and Paris, especially on the military and security level and cultural relations.
“The president also reviewed the Egyptian management technique for the coronavirus crisis, which was carried out in a scientific and balanced manner, in addition to following precautionary measures, equipping quarantine hospitals and alerting all concerned state agencies,” Rady manifested.
In this regard, Sisi thanked and expressed appreciation to the UAE for sending Egypt the first shipment of vaccines, affirming that the UAE’s move reflects the distinguished relationship between Egypt and the Gulf states, especially the UAE.
Eventually, Sisi hailed the sacrifices made by the brave men of the Egyptian Armed Forces in order to protect the homeland, stressing the Egyptian people's appreciation for these sincere efforts aimed at preserving the security and stability of the homeland and standing against any attempt to undermine it, according to the Presidency spokesman’s statements.
