Sisi, Sultan of Oman Discuss Regional Stability Over Phone

President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi held a telephone conversation today with his brother, Sultan Haitham bin Tariq of the Sultanate of Oman.

​According to the official spokesperson for the Presidency, Ambassador Mohamed El-Shennawy, the call addressed current regional developments.

During the conversation, President Sisi affirmed Egypt's solidarity and full support for the Sultanate of Oman, stressing that the security and stability of the Sultanate, as well as all Arab nations, are an integral part of Egypt's national security.

​Ambassador El-Shennawy added that the President emphasized the necessity of intensifying efforts aimed at de-escalating regional tensions. 

In this context, President Sisi valued the constructive role played by the Sultanate of Oman and reviewed the efforts exerted by Egypt to achieve the same goal.

​Furthermore, Sisi underscored the importance of maintaining peace and stability in the Middle East, avoiding escalation, and working towards resolving the current crisis through peaceful means.

​The official spokesperson further noted that Sultan Haitham bin Tariq expressed his appreciation for Egypt's firm stance and support for the Sultanate of Oman, as well as its tireless efforts to de-escalate and resolve regional crises through peaceful channels. 

The Omani Sultan also praised the depth of the brotherly relations between the two countries and peoples, affirming his keenness to continue strengthening these ties.

​In this regard, both leaders agreed to intensify political consultation and coordination between Egypt and Oman on various issues, including ways to restore and sustain regional stability.
