President Abdel Fattah El Sisi stressed on Tuesday Egypt's keenness to attract Foreign Direct Investment (FID) in the field of new and renewable energy generation, within the framework of commitment to the global goals of environmental protection and combating global warming.
During his meeting with the chief executives of a number of Belgian companies, the president said that Egypt is working on exploiting the perse natural resources for development uses, and in energy-intensive industries.
“The meeting addressed prospects of cooperation with the coalition of those Belgian companies to invest in green hydrogen production for power generation," spokesperson for the Presidency of the Republic Bassam Radi said.
