President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi held a meeting today with Prime Minister (PM) Dr. Mostafa Madbouly, Minister of Local Development Dr. Manal Awad, Governor of South Sinai Major General Dr. Khaled Mubarak, Presidential Adviser for Urban Planning Major General Amir Sayed Ahmed, and Chief of Armed Forces Engineering Authority Major General Ahmed Al-Azzazi.

The spokesperson for the presidency stated that the meeting reviewed the various pillars of the comprehensive development strategy for South Sinai.

This strategy focuses on implementing a range of projects and investments across various sectors—developmental, urban, tourism, and cultural—in line with the state's plans to maximize the potential of each governorate according to its unique characteristics and competitive advantages.

The meeting also followed up on the progress of priority projects in South Sinai, particularly in Sharm El-Sheikh, and efforts to enhance all key sectors in the city to boost its global tourism standing.

Additionally, the meeting addressed the ongoing development projects in Taba, Nuweiba, Abu Redis, and Al-Tur, as well as the latest updates on the "Great Transfiguration" project in Saint Catherine. This project aims to transform the area into a global tourist destination, with President El-Sisi closely monitoring its progress in preparation for its inauguration, reflecting its historical and cultural significance.
