President Abdel Fattah El Sisi gave a speech on the Thirty-Ninth Anniversary of Sinai Liberation Day

Here is the speech given by Sisi:

In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful,

The Great People of Egypt,

I am speaking to you today on the 39th anniversary of the liberation of a dear part of the precious land of Egypt, “Sinai,” the pure land, the crossing point of prophets, and the sacred spot that has always represented a strategic depth for Egypt and established a firm place in the hearts of all Egyptians.

The Sinai Liberation Day will continue to embody a dear, special memory deeply rooted in the conscience of every Egyptian. The saga of land restoration has gone beyond a military and diplomatic victory and has become an eternal model for conquering despair and frustration in order to restore dignity militarily and politically.War was never the goal of Egypt; peace was the supreme and greatest goal. And here we are today, recalling this glorious memory that represents an inexhaustible source from which future generations draw the meanings of pride, struggle, loyalty and belonging. This memory stands out as an example to follow in insistence on safeguarding national dignity and a lesson in preserving the national territory by work, diligence and knowledge, not aspirations and slogans. Let us confirm to the whole world that the lessons of history have proven that Egypt is able to secure the gains of peace in the pursuit of progress and prosperity.Brothers and Sisters,

Today's celebration of the liberation of Sinai brings renewed momentum to support the ongoing protection of every inch of the country, achieve the people’s aspirations and grant them the right to a prosperous present and a bright future, with flags of freedom and dignity flying high in the sky, shaded by security and safety and flourished with construction, development and progress.

You, the Egyptian people, have the right to be proud of yourselves and your country. The battle of construction and development that we are all fighting today is no less challenging and strong than what our fathers and grandfathers have faced over the course of the great history of our nation.

This battle makes it necessary to join forces to protect the capabilities of the homeland and preserve its sanctities to change reality and make a better future for our sons and grandchildren.

This great homeland deserves our sacrifices. I have unlimited trust in the great Egyptian people and absolute confidence in their abilities. I have high hopes for the future. The dream I have for our beloved Egypt is as great as its history. We will fulfill our aspirations for the future ourselves today. The Honorable People of Egypt,

In conclusion, I would like to pay a well-deserved tribute to everyone who participated in the making of this glorious day. I would like to extend a greeting of respect and appreciation to the martyrs of duty, the loyal sons of Egypt who achieved this great victory for the nation.

This glorious day will always be celebrated by Egyptians to commemorate the victory and righteous peace achieved. This day will always be a testament of the heroic acts and sacrifices made by the Egyptian military and the brilliance of the Egyptian negotiator to safeguard the nation’s territory and preserve its dignity with an unrelenting resolve and persistence.

Many happy returns and may the great people of Egypt be always blessed with goodness, strength, dignity, and progress.

Long live Egypt, long live Egypt, long live Egypt

May Allah’s peace and blessings be upon you.
