Egypt's President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi received today, Dr. Kamil Idriss, Sudanese Prime Minister (PM), in the presence of Dr. Moustafa Madbouly, Egypt’s Prime Minister, and delegations from both countries.
Mohamed El-Shennawy, Official Presidential Spokesperson, stated that President Sisi welcomed Sudanese PM, emphasizing the depth of the strategic and fraternal relations binding Egypt and Sudan.
Sisi also praised the convening of the High-Level Coordination Committee on Water Issues, co-chaired by PMs of both nations, describing it as an essential framework for coordinating positions and safeguarding the interests and rights of the two brotherly peoples.
For his part, Sudanese PM expressed his deep gratitude for the warm reception and the continuous support Egypt provides to his country across various sectors.
The Spokesperson added that President Sisi reaffirmed Egypt’s steadfast position in supporting Sudan’s stability and territorial integrity.
He highlighted Egyptian efforts at both regional and international levels aimed at ending the war and alleviating the humanitarian suffering of the Sudanese people.
The meeting also included an exchange of views on the latest regional developments, during which both sides underscored the importance of continued coordination and consultation on all issues of mutual concern.
