President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi received a phone call yesterday evening from Dutch Prime Minister Dick Schoof, to discuss ways to enhance bilateral relations, especially at the economic level, in light of the two countries' keenness to support economic partnership and mutual investment opportunities in the fields of agriculture, water management, and industry.
They also addressed cooperation in the field of green hydrogen production, as the two sides praised the level of bilateral relations at all levels, and affirmed their determination to continue efforts to develop joint cooperation.
The official spokesman for the Presidency of the Republic said that the call also included consultation and coordination on regional and international issues of common interest, most notably developments in the Middle East, where they agreed on the seriousness of the recent escalation in the region.
In this regard, the President explained Egypt's continued efforts to push for calm and a ceasefire in the Palestinian territories and Lebanon, pointing out to the importance of intensifying the efforts of the international community, especially the influential European powers, to work to stop the ongoing escalation and engage in the path of the two-state solution and the establishment of the Palestinian state, in accordance with international legitimacy resolutions, with the aim of restoring regional stability and achieving sustainable security for all the peoples of the region.
