Egypt's President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi received on Thursday Kuwaiti Foreign Minister Ahmed Nasser Al-Sabah at El-Etehadiya palace, according to Presidency spokesman Bassam Rady.
The meeting was attended by Foreign Minister (FM) Sameh Shoukry and Kuwaiti Ambassador to Egypt.
At the outset of the meeting, the Kuwaiti FM handed over a written message to President Sisi on Kuwait's keenness to regularly enhance cooperation, consultation, and coordination with Egypt on various issues, especially in light of the Egyptian sincere efforts to maintain peace and security in the region.
On his part, Sisi asked the Kuwaiti official to convey his greetings to Kuwaiti Emir Sheikh Nawaf Al‑Ahmad Al‑Jaber Al‑Sabah.
Moreover, the president affirmed Egypt's keenness to develop close and distinguished cooperation between both countries at all levels as well as exchanging experiences and deepening ties in light of the two countries' participation in sustainable development strategies, "Egypt 2030" and "Kuwait 2035".
'Egypt has always been a pioneer in cooperation, construction and goodness for the Gulf region and the entire Arab nation," Kuwaiti FM stressed, expressing his appreciations towards Egypt's supportive stances towards Kuwait throughout history.
In addition, both sides discussed important regional and international issues of common interests, especially in Syria and Iraq.
