CAIRO, JAN. 28 (SEE) - President Abdel Fattah El Sisi receives his French counterpart Emmanuel Macron at presidential palace of El-Ettahadiya, eastern Cairo, on Monday, Presidential Spokesperson Ambassador Bassam Rady said in a statement.
Macron’s wife will be in the company of her husband who will hold bilateral talks with President Sisi, Rady added.
“Sisi and Macron are expected to sign a number of memoranda of understanding and agreements, before speaking to the press,” the spokesperson revealed.
The French president arrived in Cairo late Sunday, coming from Aswan where he and his accompanying delegation visited Abo Simple Temples.
In the three-day visit, Macron will hold talks with Egyptian senior politicians and economists and discuss various regional and international topics, most notably the Libyan issue and the illegal migration crisis that Europe has been suffering from recently.
