President Abdel Fattah El Sisi received this morning, Wednesday, at Ettahadiya Presidential Palace, Aguila Saleh, Speaker of the Libyan House of Representatives and Field Marshal Khalifa Haftar, Commander of the Libyan National Army (LNA).
The meeting was also attended by Egypt’s Head of General Abbas Kamel.
“President Sisi was briefed, during the meeting, on developments in Libya and the efforts of all parties to implement a field ceasefire,” said Presidency Spokesperson Bassam Rady.
Rady added that the meeting tackled also the Libyan efforts to advance the peace process under the auspices of the United Nations.

The Speaker, Saleh, arrived, Tuesday, in Cairo on a private plane within the framework of the moves led by Cairo, to discuss the current developments in Libya.
In the meantime, LNA's Haftar arrived in Cairo too on Tuesday in order to hold talks with Egyptian officials.
