President Abdel Fattah El Sisi received on Monday credentials of nine newly appointed ambassadors to Egypt, according to Presidential Spokesman Bassam Rady.
The president welcomed the new diplomats, wishing them success in their diplomatic mission in Cairo.

"Sisi reiterated Egypt's keenness on boosting cooperation with their countries in all domains," Rady added.
The new ambassadors represent the United States of America, Angola, Brazil, Zimbabwe, Belarus, Rwanda, Algeria, Sri Lanka, and Cyprus.
Earlier in September, Sisi received accreditations of ten new ambassadors from Ukraine, Ghana, Cote d’Ivoire, China, Germany, Estonia, Norway, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Greece and Singapore.

New US Ambassador to Egypt Jonathan Cohen handed his credential to President Sisi on Monday.
The newly-appointed US ambassador in Cairo, Jonathan Cohen, was sworn in as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Egypt on November 14, 2019.
He speaks French, Swedish and Italian, some Hebrew and is working on his Arabic.
Earlier in his career he was the USAID Coordinator and Economic Officer for the West Bank at the U.S. Consulate-General in Jerusalem; and Consular/Refugee Affairs Officer at the U.S. Embassy in Thailand.
He graduated with an BA in Politics and a certificate in Near Eastern Studies from Princeton in 1985, spent 1985-1986 at Hebrew University in Jerusalem on an Israel Government Grant, and attended Georgetown University’s Masters of Science in Foreign Service Program in 1986.
He and his wife, Lidija Cohen, have two daughters. His hometown is Laguna Beach, California.
He is an avid runner and skier, and a former rugby and football player.
