President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi of Egypt held a phone call today with Jordanian King Abdullah II bin Al Hussein.

During the phone call, President Sisi expressed Egypt’s full solidarity with Jordan and its unwavering support in confronting all forms of terrorism and extremist groups that threaten the kingdom’s security and stability.

He emphasized the importance of joint cooperation to fulfill the aspirations of both nations’ peoples for a secure and stable life.

King Abdullah II expressed his appreciation for Egypt’s steadfast support and praised the deep-rooted, brotherly relations between the two countries.

The call also addressed the current situation in Palestine.

Moreover, the two leaders discussed efforts to secure a ceasefire in the Gaza Strip and ensure the delivery of humanitarian aid.

They also reviewed the developments in the West Bank and firmly rejected any attempts to displace the Palestinian people from their lands.

Furthernore, both leaders stressed that the establishment of an independent Palestinian state based on the June 4, 1967 borders, with East Jerusalem as its capital, is the only guarantee for lasting peace and stability in the Middle East.

The call also included discussions on enhancing bilateral relations and exploring avenues for increased cooperation to serve mutual interests and strengthen the strategic partnership between Egypt and Jordan.
