President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi met, on Monday, with Qatari Emir Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, following his arrival in Doha to participate in the extraordinary Arab-Islamic summit.
During the meeting, Sisi expressed his sincere condolences to the Qatari Emir and people for the victims of the brutal Israeli aggression against Doha.
He reiterated Egypt's condemnation and denunciation of this blatant violation of Qatari sovereignty, affirming Egypt's full solidarity with Qatar and its full readiness to provide all forms of support and assistance to safeguard its sovereignty and preserve its territorial integrity.
For his part, Qatari Emir commended President Sisi's participation in the summit, expressing his great appreciation for Egypt's firm and unwavering position rejecting the brutal Israeli aggression on Arab issues.
The meeting also addressed developments in the region and ways to restore regional stability.
In this regard, both leaders stressed the importance of formulating a shared vision for collective Arab action and forming a unified front to protect Arab national security.
The need to continue efforts to achieve an immediate ceasefire in Gaza Strip, ensure unhindered access for humanitarian aid, and categorically reject any attempts to displace Palestinians from their land were also emphasized.
