President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi met today with His Highness Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, Qatari Emir, at Amiri Diwan in Qatari capital, Doha.
The meeting came at the start of President El-Sisi’s Gulf tour.
An official reception ceremony was held in honor of the Egyptian President, including the playing of national anthems and an honor guard inspection.
According to Ambassador Mohamed El-Shenawy, official Presidential spokesperson, Sisi and Qatari Emir presided over an expanded meeting that included delegations from both countries.
This was followed by a bilateral discussion between the two leaders.
For his part, Qatari Emir welcomed President Sisi’s visit, describing it as a reflection of the growing momentum in the strong relations between Egypt and Qatar.
In turn, President Sisi expressed his appreciation for the warm reception and generous hospitality.
He stressed the importance of strengthening cooperation across various sectors, particularly by increasing trade volumes and enhancing Qatari investments in Egypt, in a way that meets the aspirations of both peoples.
