President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi commended Greece for its significant role in explaining Egypt's perspective during the critical years following the events of 2011, 2012, and 2013.
Speaking at a joint press conference with Greek Prime Minister (PM) Kyriakos Mitsotakis, President Sisi stated, "At the beginning of the difficult period Egypt went through in 2011, Greece showed great understanding and played a major role, particularly in European forums, to explain and affirm Egypt’s point of view to the European audience, and they succeeded in doing so."
"It was a tough time, and we needed someone to explain what was happening in Egypt. This is something we will never forget. It reflected the deep historical relationship between our two countries," he continued.
